VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Zambia Institute of Architects is a statutory body constituted under the Zambia Institute of Architects Act No. 36 of 1995, Chapter 442 of the Laws of Zambia is looking to hire the following:

Job Position: Accounts and Administrative Officer

Job Purpose:

To plan, control and organise some accounting and administrative functions Of the Institute.

Job Specification

The Accounts and Administration person will be required 10 do the following:

  • Maintaining existing member database and creating new ones.
  • Invoicing members and dispatching the invoices
  • Processing all approved payments and maintaining records thereto.
  • Update Pastel every end of the week
  • Preparing remittances for NAPSA, PAYE before the deadline
  • Typing reports and letters when required, Supervising cleaning or the office, any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Budgeting & Bank Reconciliation
  • Bank reconciliation on a monthly basis, preparing monthly budgets for petty cash and any other field cost
  • Maintaining proper files for all records, Prepare quarterly financial statements i.e. Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss and Cash flow statements, Work with auditors at the end of the year to develop audited end of year accounts.

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • Grade 12 school certificate,
  • ACCA III, CIMA III, ZICA II or higher
  • ZICA Membership and Minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of Pastel Accounting Software will be added advantage

Other Skills and Attributes

  • High levels of integrity; planning and organisation; Computer literate; Good communication skills
  • Analytical and Driving skills
