Zambia National Commercial Bank Plc (Zanaco) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the following job aimed at contributing to the Bank’s strategic vision, in Risk Division under the Retail Credit and Collections Department at Head Office:-

MIS AND ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT SPECIALIST (X1)

JOB PURPOSE

To manage Retail Credit portfolio information requirements on the Bank’s lending activities in Retail Credit Department, to facilitate the formulation of relevant policies and evaluation of the Retail credit portfolio in respect to performance, composition, concentrations, impairments as measured against relevant Bank Policies – Credit Policy, Risk Appetite Statement, Business Underwriting Standards and portfolio indicators.

Under the supervision of the Collections Head, the following are among the Job Key Responsibilities:-

  • To manage information requirements for the Bank’s Main Board, Board Risk Committee and Retail Assets Committee as required on the Retail credit portfolio.
  • To avail well analyzed and designed, timely, accurate, concise and structured portfolio information to management and business units.
  • To provide support to the collections unit as collections module administrator.
  • To coordinate preparation of credit portfolio reports to the Board Risk Committee, Retail Assets Committee and the main Board.
  • To coordinate preparation of tracking reports on all Underwriting Standards against the respective Risk Triggers and performance indicators.
  • To manage information requirements for the Bank’s Main Board, Board Risk Committee and Retail Assets Committee as required on the Retail credit portfolio.
  • To avail well analyzed and designed, timely, accurate, concise and structured portfolio information to management and business units.
  • Preparation of analyses of impact on P&L statement, and Asset quality reviews i.e. Recoveries, turnarounds, impairments.
  • Coordinate and prepare performance target trackers against outlined strategic goals and agreed budget lines.
  • Liaising with internal/external stakeholders and attending to queries.
  • To share knowledge and experience and best practice with team members in order to ensure that team performance complies with set standards.
  • Create collectors in the Collections system and assign system access rights.
  • Delete Collectors who are no longer with the unit in the Collections system.
  • Assign cases to Collectors and Re-assign cases from one Collector to another.
  • Uploading of excel Debt collectors report to the collections diary for assigned defaulting customers.
  • Any other responsibilities or tasks as may be assigned by management.

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACT

  • External: Central Bank of Zambia, External Auditors, Credit Reference Bureau, Insurance Companies.
  • Internal: All Divisions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12 Credit or above mandatory in Mathematics and English and any other three subjects.
  • University Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • At least three (3) years related work experience/banking experience.
  • Knowledge of banking context.
  • Database SQL scripting.
  • Knowledge of relevant Banking Applications.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence Platforms (OBBIE).
  • Advanced MS Excel Knowledge and MS Office proficiency.
