Zambia National Commercial Bank Plc (Zanaco) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the following position aimed at contributing to the Bank’s strategic vision, under the Finance Division at Head Office:

Job Title: MIS HEAD

JOB PURPOSE

To facilitate enterprise reporting and business analysis by implementing processes that improve development and generation of reports, dashboards, and reporting models within the bank. The primary objective of the role is to provide timely and accurate strategic and management information requirements for decision making and also support the business with performance metrics, benchmarking, and revenue / expense projections.

Under the supervision of the Head MIS, the following are among the Job’s key responsibilities:-

  • Collaborating with IT in the monitoring of MIS environments, performing preventative maintenance and ensuring optimum BI availability
  • Implement automated workflows for intersystem data integration and validation to constantly improve data integrity and accurate reporting
  • Adherence to standardized MIS procedures on Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) for increased efficiency and cost effectiveness in generation of reports
  • Develop strategic and business reports using data from core and auxiliary business systems managed within the bank for consistency
  • Developing and implementing BI reports for collecting and analyzing business data to measure and track performance
  • Identification of potential reporting problems and resolving them within time and scope
  • Executing report changes, enhancements, and communicating to the business in line with Data Governance procedures
  • Periodically monitor and follow-up software upgrades and enhancements to the MIS environment to ensure that it is always up-to-date
  • Working with business stakeholders to support KPI’s.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 Credits Grade 12 including Mathematics and English
  • BSc degree in Computing and Information Systems
  • 5+ years’ experience in MIS
  • Certificates in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Data Mining
