Zambia National Commercial Bank Plc (Zanaco) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the following job aimed at contributing to the Bank’s strategic vision, in the Operations Division under the Payments & Loans Centre Department at Head Office.

Job Title: Foreign Payments Head – 1

Responsibilities

  • To direct and coordinate foreign payments and SWIFT and ensure efficiency and effectiveness in operations
    Coordinate the letters of credit, guarantees and documentary collections and ensure efficiency, effectiveness and control in operations
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external operating policies
  • Conduct foreign payments and trade finance in a professional manner in accordance with Banking and
  • Financial services Act, BOZ code of Banking practice, SWIFT Standards, ICC publications, Financial Reporting standards, Anti Money Laundering, Companies Act and Bank strategic plan, policies and operational manuals
  • Identify and recommend staff training needs
  • Develop and implement sound risk management controls, control expenditure and collect all revenue on foreign and trade finance payments due to the Bank
  • Target setting ,coaching and mentoring of staff
  • Develop and maintain close working relationship with our correspondent banks,SWIFT and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform any other tasks or functions as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 Credit or above mandatory in Mathematics and English and any other three subjects
  • University Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Five to eight  years working experience in related field
    ACCA, ZICA Certifications
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Analytical skills
