Job Title: Assistant Director, information Technology – Business Development

Job Description

Reporting directly to the Director, Information Technology; the job holder will be required to effectively support the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) business through the provision of timely, cost effective, efficient and professional information and communications (ICT), Technical and operations through consultation, agreements and research, with customers and service providers by developing and implementing Information Technology strategies, standard and procedures for the purpose of achieving corporate goals.


  • Undertake feasibility studies to ascertain whether the provision of a system, following end user requirements, is cost effective from a business point of view
  • Ensure that the systems analysis function is done in accordance with the SSADM or UML methodologies
  • Manage the development of interfaces between applications and ensure timely provision of enhancements to systems
  • Manage the development of new systems and ensure that the processes are well managed in accordance with methodologies stated
  • Provide technical expertise on information systems strategy implementation
  • Formulate and maintain database administration procedure manuals
  • Maintain data and system integrity, confidentiality and security


  • Grade 12 school certificate or equivalent
  • Degree in Computing, Computer Science or Information Technology from a reputable institution
  • Masters degree in relevant field will be an added advantage
  • PRINCE2 certification
  • Oracle certification
  • COBIT or ITIL certification
  • Not less than five years work experience in the information and communication technology profession with at least three years at managerial level
