ZICTA Recruiting: QOS Monitoring Engineer
ROLE PURPOSE
To monitor compliance of all licensed networks to the prescribed performance standards as outlined in the license conditions and technical standards, and ensure a smooth operating and reliable Quality of Service monitoring network.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop a mechanism for collecting the parameters of network performance and Quality of Service/Quality of Experience Monitor the performance of networks including Quality of Service (QoS/QoE) in line with the license framework and technical standards Assists in the development and implementation of departmental policy and procedures to solve specific operating problems and improve regulatory delivery Provide periodical performance reports for all licensed operators Provides support on engineering and technology matters as well as participate in appropriate standardisation activities Maintain records of all QoS site visit and activity logs, all Quality of Service spare parts and usage thereof Assists ZICTA in responding to queries regarding license network performance.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
3-5 years’ experience in the telecommunications sector or industry Bachelor’s degree in electronics/electrical/computer engineering or related field.
