Zimbabwe Revenue Authority Job Recruitment
The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority, which derives its mandate from the Revenue Authority Act [Chapter 23:11] and other subsidiary legislation, is responsible for assessing, collecting and accounting for revenue on behalf of the State through the Ministry of Finance.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following post that has arisen within the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA), an equal opportunity employer.
Head Employee Relations (Level 5) -1 Post- Head Office
Responsibilities:
- Monitors and reports on the industrial relations climate within the organisation.
- Recommends specific industrial relations policy and procedure reviews to ensure compliance with labour laws.
- Identifies industrial relations training needs and facilitates/conducts training where necessary.
- Designs approaches on how to gauge the industrial relations climate and resolve industrial relations compliance concerns.
- Conducts station visits for on-the-spot dispute resolutions.
- Initiates policies and procedures for the upkeep of harmonious industrial relations within the organisation.
- Gathers relevant statistical data for use during Collective Bargaining Negotiations.
- Facilitates organisational communication through internal structures such as National Works Council, CBN and Staff Meetings.
- Monitors compliance with the dispute settlement instruments and disciplinary procedures in labour matters.
- Provides advisory services on labour matters.
- Organises Training for management and staff on employee relations matters.
- Plans and Co-ordinates Health, Safety and Wellness programmes for the organisation.
- Liaises with the Authority’s lawyers in industrial relations cases where necessary.
- Formulates and Monitors the Employee Relations Sectional Budget.
- Submits periodic and ad-hoc reports to the Director HR and Administration.
- Supervises Employee Relations staff and manages the section’s performance.
- Carries out any other duties as may be assigned by the Director HR and Administration.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in HRM/Employee Relations/Business/Psychology or any Social Science Degree plus a Diploma in Industrial Relations.
- 5 Ordinary Level passes including English Language.
- Masters’ degree in Business Administration is an added advantage
- At least five (5) years’ experience in the field of Employee Relations Management, in a large organisation.
- Knowledge of SAP (HCM) is a definite advantage
- Clean Class 4 driver’s license.
